Hebrew and Russian in One Day
16/02/2012Want to share this special moment with you…
The mezuza presentation was given in Russian in Moscow by Sara Katz AND in Hebrew by Shmuel Rind to elementary school boys – both on the same day!

Sara Katz sent me the following note via Skype:
It was outstanding Baruch Hashem. The audience ranged from totally beginners to Jewish schools graduates. I could read in their eyes: what’s there about mezuzah which we don’t know? But after the introduction they were blown away. Not even one section passed without them asking questions. What is truly amazing in the presentation is the combination of serious material with relaxing videos and examples. It was impossible to get tired.
Now I am facing another problem – I have a list of 26 girls wanting a mezuzah. May all outreach teachers have such problems!
We invite you to share words of encouragement for the new members of the Torah Live family in Russia. Leave your comment below and we will have your words translated and shared with the students.
Israel Loves Torah Live – In Hebrew!
2/07/2010

I am pleased to inform you that Torah Live gave its second Hebrew presentation tonight, in Rishon LeTzion, and it was a huge success! People had never seen anything like it and were asking that Torah Live presentations be made more available to the Israeli speaking public.

The most incredible aspect of the evening, though, was the fact that the audience consisted of a total mixture of secular, mizrachi, and charedim and that the presentation was enjoyed by all. “Uncle Udi” pointed out that Torah Live had managed to bridge the religious-secular divide. One of the irreligious ladies said afterwards she only wished there had been more Torah sources! Another said she wished Rabbi Yudkovsky had elaborated more on what it means to be “ruchani”!

The presentation was delivered at a memorial service held by the Sultan family on the tenth anniversary of the passing of their parents. May Hashem grant us the strength and resources to keep up with the new demand!
