Yossie is drowning!
26/01/2012
We thought it quite funny to see Yossie Weiss, one of the Torah Live staff members, drowning in all the mail from the over fifty teachers that signed up this week to get the Mezuzah presentation educators kit.
This sudden surge of demand is the result of Torah Live’s new partnership with NJOP to make its material available to a broader audience.
Thank you Michael and Karine Bloch of Raanana for sponsoring the DVD in honor of their children: Eitan, Yoel, and Tali. Michael was not only the brainchild behind the creation of the DVD but is also the one who introduced our work to Rabbi Ephraim Buchwald, director of NJOP and made this partnership happen.
Best caption for this picture gets the Mezuzah DVD for FREE! Congratulations to Ilan and Simone Goldstein who won last month’s free Mezuzah DVD.
Dan
PS. If your organization or someone you know wants to partner with Torah Live to distribute the material, we have a sponsor who is willing to chip in in a major way to make the cost almost free to participating outreach and educational organizations.

Mezuzah in LA
13/07/2011
Rabbi Yakov Vann, Rav of the Calabasas Shul just outside of L.A., presented the Mezuzah DVD to his community this summer. “People were awed by the fact that Torah can be presented in such a state of the art, sophisticated manner,” he said. “It is incredible to be able to teach such a complex area of halacha in a way that both beginners and advanced students grasp something on their level. It’s really bringing the greatness of Torah to the community.” Buy your copy of the Mezuzah DVD today, here.
New! Mezuzah: The Ultimate Connector. Now on DVD.

@ The Calverts in Netanya
6/01/2011
A big thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Calvert for opening their home and hosting the mezuza presentation to a small group of friends in the their home in Netanya. Graham has supported Torah Live from the very beginning, offering sage advice and opening all kinds of doors and it was therefore a real pleasure to be able to speak in his home. He remembers growing up near my grandparents in Edgware (London) and recalls how my uncle David Schreiber was his madrich in Sinai-Hebron.
Here’s what Mrs. Calvert had to say about the evening: “The shiur was incredible and the graphics were truly amazing. It was a privilege to host the shiur and if we lived in Israel we would want the whole series!”
“Fancy-shmancy presentation!”
“Eye-opening. Amazing!”

Preparing the Mezuza DVD
2/01/2011
Spent the day shooting with Eli Veffer for our upcoming mezuza DVD. The printing of the DVD is being made possible by the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Josh Portman in memory of their father: R Yisroel ben R’ Aharon Chechik. May they be blessed with nachas from all their children and success in all their endeavors.
Welcome aboard, Rabbi Simon
22/12/2010
Rabbi Simon
Torah Live is privileged to expand its team of presenters with the recent addition of the talented Rabbi Rashi Simon, Founder and Director of Kesher, an outreach organization in Finchley, who licensed the mezuza presentation this past week. Rabbi Simon says “We are looking forward to utilising the lucid and informative—not to mention hi tech—educational material expertly assembled by Rabbi Roth and his team at Torah Live.”
@ Her Majesty’s Treasury
22/12/2010

Rabbi Roth was invited back to H. M. Treasury once again. [view post from first visit here] This time he gave the Mezuza Presentation…
“An engaging & enjoyable treatment of Mezuzah from the basics to the very detailed. A polished multimedia presentation with the more in-depth sections giving rise to so much discussion (especially on who to buy kosher mezuzot from!)” – Mark Shackman
“Although I have lots of big Mezuzot all round my house, I learned a lot from the presentation. I especially liked the “traditional” ideas/ Hashkafah anecdotes. More generally, I liked the “camera work” and how you film the text from the Torah in a modern dynamic way, making the text spring to life, so to speak.” – Jonathan Gershlick
@ The Mir
25/11/2010Recently, Rabbi Roth delivered the Mezuza presentation at the Mir, Yerushalayim. Apparently, people were still talking about the halachos over lunch and several went home and changed the position of their mezuzos. Here’s the feedback we got from Rabbi Yisrael Stilerman, the Rosh Chaburah:
“The presentation was amazing! I asked the guys about the presentation and they said they were inspired, entertained, and gained a lot from it! They were specifically amazed by the technology! They want to know, what’s the next topic and when? I personally appreciate the time, energy, and resource that you put into presenting a complete package! I know and see just a little bit of what you have to do, to get where it is. Amazing! Amazing!”

@ Rabbi Reisman’s Shul
24/11/2010
While in New York last week, Rabbi Dan Roth presented the Torah Live lecture on mezuza to a crowd of 150. Ira Rabinowitz commented “Too short. I would have loved a 2 hour class!” If you attended the shiur, please chime in below in the comments!
@ EYAHT, Mezuza Lecture
23/11/2010
Earlier this week, Rabbi Roth presented on Mezuza at EYAHT. The students had the following comments:
“The video presentation was amazing. Best I’ve ever seen. ” – Tziporah Winston
“Very clear. Easy to follow. Good speaker. Great job!” – Aviva Lurie
“Terrific! Amazing graphics.” - Ale Harari.
First Mezuza Presentation
26/10/2010
Last week was the premier viewing of the brand new Mezuza presentation at the Raanana Community Kollel in Israel. The event was a smashing success, as were the bagels and lox! This presentation utilizes the highest quality state-of-the-art graphics to bring the complex halachos down to earth. It is in a league of its own in terms of technological advancement and starts off a new standard for all Torah Live materials to come.
Check out preview video clips here.
Commenting on the presentation, renowned Dayan Abraham of the London Beis Din said: “[It is an] absorbing, exciting and entertaining presentation of brilliantly researched and wonderfully delivered original material. The impressive standard of professionalism in all Rabbi Roth’s work enables halachic nuances to be understood and appreciated by Lamdan and layman alike. I am confident that Torah Live will play a substantial role in educating, inspiring, and enthusing an ever broadening audience for many years to come.”
